We're Hiring: Taproom Manager (Part or Full Time Role Available)
We recently shared that we are looking for a Taproom Manager to join the Turning Point team here in Knaresborough. We have updated the position to allow for this 3 day a week post to become a FULL TIME position, for the right person. We are getting busier and busier, and will need extra hands in the brewery, and with marketing, branding, and sales. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Taproom Manager to join our growing brewery and expand our team in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
The Taproom Manager is a part time role (24-26hrs per week), however due to the brewery getting busier and busier, we are able to offer supplementary weekday hours working at the brewery for those candidates seeking a full-time position.
Our Taproom is the showcase of what we do – it is set in the heart of the brewery, and serves the freshest Turning Point beers, direct from the source, on Fridays and Saturdays (and on Sundays of Bank Holiday weekends). Our Taproom is relatively new (having only been opened in the last 12months) so there’s loads of potential for someone dynamic to cultivate it into an exciting craft beer destination.
The successful applicant will be the welcoming face of the Brewery Taproom, providing great customer service and a fantastic atmosphere for our visitors. They will ensure the Taproom operates smoothly, with a keen eye for all operational details to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests. Front of House and cellar management experience is essential, and individuals must be self-motivated, take pride in their work, be passionate about craft beer, committed to promoting the Turning Point Brew Co. brand, and capable of leading a team of bar staff.
The key responsibilities of the role of Taproom Manager include:
Fully responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Taproom.
Create, run and oversee taproom events and food vendor schedules
Staff management including recruitment, training, scheduling and supervising on shift.
Cellar management (responsible for beer lines, stock rotation, cleanliness of work area etc); stock control & ordering.
Manage ePOS system and prepare weekly reports for the Directors. Cash handling
Key holding. Bar set-up and close-down. Overseeing that the Taproom is functional, presentable and clean
Resolution of customer complaints
Compliance with Health & Safety and Licence processes. To include management and implementation of COVID-19 precautions, as necessary.
For Taproom Manager candidates interested in a full-time position with the business, supplementary weekday hours will be available working as brewery staff. Brewery duties are varied and there are roles across the business – from packaging, to delivery, to marketing and sales.

Permission to work in the UK.
24-26 hours per week as Taproom Manager. Full time hours available.
Must be available Friday and Saturday full bar shifts (includes evenings).
Salary = £20k-£25k (pro rata for P/T) depending on experience. Perks include staff discount and opportunities for progression within the business.
