This privacy policy applies to the website www.turningpointbrewco.com which is run by Turning Point Brewing Company Limited (‘Turning Point Brew Co.’), a company registered in England and Wales (company registration 10565480), of Unit 3 Grimbald Park, Wetherby Road, Knaresborough, HG5 8LJ.

This Privacy Policy explains how we at Turning Point Brew Co. use and disclose your personal information when you visit our website and when you contact or interact with us through email, post, telephone, online or in-person.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

The types of personal information we may collect (directly from you or from third party-sources) and our privacy practices depend on the nature of the relationship you have with us.

Customers / Loyalty Benefits

We may collect the following personal information when you contact us by phone, by email, through our website or in person: your full name; your contact details e.g. address(es), business name, telephone numbers and e-mail address; marketing preferences; and the reason for your contact.  The lawful basis of the processing is necessary for the contract we have with you. 

By using our website, submitting your personal information to us and/or registering an online account, you consent to the use of your personal information as described in this policy.

We may disclose customer’s personal data we collect to our third party processors in the following manner:

  • Third party credit/debit card issuer(s) for the purpose of validation checks and authorisation checks for transactions;

  • Courier/postal service to fulfil and/or despatch orders;

  • We may disclose your personal data where it is necessary to comply with any applicable law or an order of a governmental or law enforcement body.

We will keep your details on record until we have fulfilled your request, enquiry or application and then for a reasonable period afterwards, in accordance with data protection and other applicable legislation. After this period, all personally identifiable data stored will be deleted. We may keep an anonymised form of your personal data, which no longer refers to you, for statistical purposes without time limits, to the extent that we have a legitimate and lawful interest in doing so.

 

Promotions / Marketing Communications 

We will collect name and email address information provided you have opted-in to marketing communications and have confirmed you are over 18 years old.  This data will be used for consumer-facing programs, including but not limited to newsletters sent on a regular basis with news and offers about Turning Point Brew Co. The legal basis for this processing is Consent and you can withdraw your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions in the marketing communications we send you or contacting us on info@turningpointbrewco.com

We may use a third party provider to deliver our campaign and monitor the effectiveness of any given campaign. Any data provided will be held by those third party web servers in accordance with current regulations.

Social Media

If you contact or interact with us using Facebook Messenger, Instagram or Twitter we receive account information that you publicly share (e.g. first name, last name, gender, locale, profile picture, time zone) from the relevant social media site. We may use this information to respond to your message.

 

Data We Collect

Digital Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect information about your Internet service provider, your operating system, browser type, domain name, the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or other electronic Internet-enabled device), your access times, the website that referred you to us, the webpages you request and the date and time of those requests.

CCTV

Turning Point Brew Co. Ltd have installed CCTV systems in our premises for the purposes of customer and staff safety, and crime prevention and detection. 

As well as being the purposes for which we use your personal information, the above are also legitimate reasons for us to use and store personal information relating to you which is captured on our CCTV systems and legitimate interest is our legal basis for processing your personal information.

We will only disclose CCTV images to others who intend to use the images for the purposes stated above. Please note if we are requested to provide CCTV images of you or any other personal info relating to you by police or any other government authority investigating suspected illegal activities, we are obliged do so.

Images captured by CCTV will not be kept for longer than 30 days. However, on occasions there may be a need to keep images for longer, for example where a crime is being investigated. Recordings will be kept securely on password protected hard drives.

 

Your Preferences & Rights of Access

If you have given us your consent to use personal information, you can withdraw your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions in the marketing communications we send you or contacting us at info@turningpointbrewco.com. Please note that if you opt out of receiving marketing communications from us, we may still send communications to you concerning any outstanding transactions.
