As always it’s been full on here at the brewery. Last week we crammed as much as we could into three days work, and then promptly headed down to Reading for a collab and beer fest weekend extravaganza.
After a few quiet beers at Greyfriars, which was conveniently, and intentionally positioned across the street from our digs, we got our heads down for an early start brewing at Wild Weather. We’ve known this bunch for a few years now: I previously hosted them at a Falcon Tap tap takeover, which has since become an annual occurrence, and one never to be missed. We didn’t expect to have a quiet days brewing, but the guys really made an effort to make us welcome, with what our Luke deemed their own brand of “aggressive hospitality” (surely the name of a return leg collab brew). We arrived to a cold cup of DIPA, a bacon butty or two each, and a proper royal welcome. On the day we brewed a mango and lime milkshake IPA. We can’t wait to get our grubby mitts on some of this. Loads of sorachi ace, lactose, and other goodies added to this, perfect beer for the sun. If it sticks around! After the brewday we had an emergency nap
