Here we are again at the end of another week…
This week we brewed two beers for the first time in 2018: Firstly, Lucid Dream, our cookies and cream stout, coming in at 5% ABV. It was with us at our launch back in April last year and we’re always looking forward to making more. As much as we enjoy the chocolatey aroma that fills the brewery as it’s fermenting, it doesn’t half make a mess! The yeast we use gets a little bit excited, and creates a thick chocolate mousse which pours out of the fermenter and onto the floor, and everything else. All in the name of beer.
We also brewed Rising Tide, our 4.3% ABV pale ale. A classic, easy drinking hoppy one.
Our newest beer, Armadillo, has now been racked into cask and keg and is heading out of the brewery, over the next week or so. After trying this from the tank on racking day, we are very, very excited for you to try this one. It’s soft, fruity, full bodied, with low bitterness. We’ve crammed in as much hop flavour and aroma as we can to make a beer which packs a punch that you (and us) can have more than one of! Three of our favourite hops in this one: Citra, Chinook, Amarillo.
We’re booking up for festivals, tap takeovers, and meet the brewer events quite quickly now and looking forward to getting out on the road, seeing some sights (mainly pubs and motorways), and telling you all about our brewery and its fermented beverages. In two weeks we have a double whammy coming up:
Thursday 8th February: The Pint Shop, Cambridge.
